Samsung Gear IconX 2018 Wireless Earphones Launched In India At Rs 13,990
Samsung has launched its new Samsung Gear IconX (2018) wireless earphones in India. Samsung is pitching these new earbuds to those people who are mainly active and don’t want to deal with wires while listening to music during their workout sessions.
The truly wireless headphone segment has grown exponentially over the past few months, thanks to the success of Apple AirPods. Samsung Gear IconX comes with a price of Rs 13,990, which competes with Apple AirPods, Jabra Elite Active 65t, Bose SoundSport Free, and Sony WF-1000X.
The new Samsung Gear IconX earbuds come with 4GB of inbuilt storage, which also doubles as standalone music playback. The Samsung earbuds also come with five preset equalizer modes – Bass Bost, Soft, Dynamic, Clear, and Treble Boost.
Samsung says that the Samsung Gear IconX can provide an upgraded music experience. Music on the Samsung earbuds can be loaded either wirelessly or from a smartphone or PC using a USB cable.
To control the Samsung earbuds, users will have to make use of touch-based gestures which will allow them to play, pause, skip and browse music.
The new Samsung Gear IconX comes with USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.2. Sensors on board are an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and there is support for the Bixby, voice assistant.
The Samsung Gear IconX comes with fast-charging, and Samsung claims that the battery life is up to around five hours of music streaming or seven hours of standalone music playback on a single charge, and the carry case will be able to provide one additional battery charge.
In terms of dimensions, the new Samsung Gear Icon X measures 21.8×18.9×22.8mm and weighs just 8 grams. The Gear IconX (2018) can track daily activities like running and walking.
Samsung says that the Pace Setter allows users to choose from various preset activity programs from ‘Light Walking’ to ‘Speed Endurance’ to custom creating programs on their smartphone.
