After completing the shooting of his most awaiting movie of this year ‘Zero’, Shah Rukh Khan is now all set for the shooting for the next important project of his life.
He will soon start with the shooting of his next film ‘Salute’, which is a biopic on Indian Air Force pilot Rakesh Sharma.
Shah Rukh Khan will shoot for straight two months for the Rakesh Sharma biopic which is expected to release next year in 2019. Shah Rukh Khan will start his shooting for the biopic from September and will shoot till November end.
The movie ‘Salute’ is based on the life story of a man called Rakesh Sharma, who was the first ever Indian person to go into space.
The biopic of Rakesh Sharma will be directed by Mahesh Mathai, and according to recent reports, it is coming that Kareena Kapoor Khan might star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film ‘Salute’.
Rakesh Sharma, who joined the Indian Air Force as a test pilot in 1970 flew various aircraft, swiftly progressing to the position of Squadron Leader. He has conferred the honor of the Hero of the Soviet Union upon his return from space and India’s highest peacetime gallantry award, the Ashoka Chakra.
Rakesh Sharma became a cosmonaut on September 20, 1982, and was selected to go into space as a part of joint program between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Soviet Intercosmos Space Program.
The film ‘Salute’ will be directed by Mahesh Mathai and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur. Mahesh Mathai is a great director who has been working on the film’s script for over a year.
Shah Rukh Khan recently returned from the final schedule of Aanand L Rai’s drama in which he plays a role of a dwarf. The film also features Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. They all were in the US and filmed extensively at the NASA headquarters.
