Taapsee Pannu Will Be Playing Powerful Role In Sujoy Ghosh’s ‘Badla’

Taapsee Pannu is now all set for Sujoy Ghosh’s revenge drama Badla. The film Badla is an official remake of the Spanish film, The Invisible Guest. The film will have a lot has changed in the Indian version.

Taapsee Pannu will be playing a sharp entrepreneur in the film. Taapsee Pannu was the first to come on board.

The shoot for the film is already started. Taapsee Pannu is currently filming Sujoy Ghosh’s revenge drama Badla with Amitabh Bachchan in Glasgow. Taapsee Pannu united with Amitabh Bachchan after the film Pink released in the year 2016.

“It will be unfair to both Sujoy and me if the film didn’t have such a character. I’ve been shooting films back-to-back over the last couple of months, but most of them have been desi girls. Now suddenly, I’m in Scotland playing a sharp, powerful businesswoman based here, it’s a drastic jump. This woman is also not your conventional Sujoy heroine, as you will realize,” Taapsee Pannu said when speaking to Mirror from Scotland.

Taapsee Pannu and Sujoy were trying to work with each other for last three year, but things just didn’t fall in place till Badla came along.

She met Sujoy after Baby’s release, and since then they have been discussing short films, telefilms, and feature films.

Apart from work, Taapsee Pannu recently went on a holiday to Rome and now wants to visit Australia or New Zealand but is waiting for warmer days as she doesn’t like the chill.

On being asked about what’s her other future plans, Taapsee Pannu admits that she is in the discussion for a Phantom production titled Womaniya but will wait to reveal more until the formalities are done.

The young actress  Taapsee Pannu will also be seen in Soorma. The film Soorma is based on the struggles of the hockey player and ex-captain of the Indian National team, Sandeep Singh.
