1. Amazon River
Amazon River is the longest river in the world. The Amazon River can be found Rio De Janerio and has a length of 6,992 kilometers and has a basin length of around 7,050,000 km2 which discharge its water at 209,000 cubic meters per second which makes Amazon River the largest river by discharge in the planet.
Amazon River is also the widest and has the largest drainage basin than any other river. It passes through seven countries in South America and is actually the largest river in terms of volume and flow.
2. Nile River
Nile river is the second longest river in the world which spreads across 6,853 kilometer’s and has its prime source on the White Nile and flows across three countries South Sudan, Uganda and Tanzania. The river has major two tributaries that are the Blue Nile and the White Nile.
The Nile river covers eleven countries, namely, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Republic of the Sudan and Egypt. The Blue Nile begins at Lake Tana in Ethiopia and flows into Sudan from the southeast.
